She gave me ‘permission’ to run again!

I started running in early March and was doing really well for my age (61). I was planning to do a Half Marathon in September, which I had never run before but always wanted to. As part of my training I started doing the Park Run, but after my second one I developed knee pain that did not settle in few days. I went to the GP who told me to stop running and come back in one month. I was not happy. I had sharp pains in both knees and having googled my symptoms I wondered whether it could be a cartilage problem.

I did not want to stop running and hoped Meadowhead Physio could help some way. It was difficult to accept that I might have to stop running.
Jenny was brilliant. She allayed my concerns and gave me permission to run again, slow and steady at first, but I could get out there. I had little or no pain due to the exercises and advise I was given.
I am now mainly pain free, running alternate days a long run of 8.5K with no problem. I may never break any records but I will cross that finishing line in September thanks to Jenny. When I think I could have just stopped running, never knowing I could have been fixed!
