I have gone from not running at all due to a fear of injury to regularly running 30 minutes or more 3 times a week.
Having picked up ankle ache following running a few years ago I was reluctant to start running again, although I missed it, I was worried about doing any damage to myself. I had tried physio before but had not made much progress and felt that I had a lot of exercises to do, which I wasn’t convinced were helping. I was therefore a bit nervous that the same thing would happen. I was also nervous about just being a beginner runner and not very sporty, so I was a bit self-conscious. I have had a really good experience working with Jayne. She was professional and encouraging and gave me confidence that I was doing the right thing. She assessed my running ad explained clearly where my weakness was. She gave me targeted exercises to do which built up in difficulty over the process, helping me to develop and improve my running. I have gone from not running at all due to a fear of injury to regularly running 30 minutes or more 3 times a week. I haven’t had any ankle problems this time, so I’ve been really enjoying my running. Jayne’s help and encouragement has made me feel confident I’ll reach my next target of running 10km.
