The physio was very passionate and knowledgeable about their subject which is very infectious and gives you a great deal of confidence in the treatment.

Peta PinnockI was feeling a weakness in my knees when running, it felt like they would not hold me and then became painful. I’d run a half marathon earlier in the year and really struggled with training. I also couldn’t get my breathing right, was out of breath on even the shortest of runs and felt as if I couldn’t get enough oxygen into my lungs. After the Half I resigned myself that running was not for me and gave up for a while.

I approached Meadowhead Physiotherapy. I was very interested to see if they could help and if there was a problem or if it was just general wear and tear.

The whole process was very enjoyable. They first filmed me running so they could show me what my problem was which was very interesting. The physio was very passionate and knowledgeable about their subject which is very infectious and gives you a great deal of confidence in the treatment.

I’ve been out running a few times now and intend to do more as the weather improves. My knees feel ‘normal’, I’ve had no pain and they feel as if they will hold me now. My breathing has returned to normal and soon regulates itself when I run. It’s such a joy to get back to running.
